EA and Tiger Woods show how to pay attention.

When most companies talk about paying attention to their customers, what they mean is that they try to pacify angry bloggers and send gift cards to happy bloggers.

Now Electronic Arts has taken it to a whole new level with this online ad (of sorts) starring Tiger Woods. It was created solely as a response to one player's YouTube video. Check it out:

Somewhere, I'm guessing Levinator25 is a happy man.

Hat tip to my friend Greg, who found it on Deadspin.

So this is absolutely 100 per cent genuine? Levinator 25 doesn't work for EA or any of its suppliers...? Sorry to be cynical but as with any corporate social media thingy, it pays to evaluate all angles.

Nice work either way.

Ed Roberts

If it IS a legit response from EA to an user submitted video, then kudos to EA for paying attention to the social media channels (and for Woods taking the time to do it).

But I agree... it's rather hard to believe that it wasn't a plant.
